Use
- Surfaces should be free of dust, grease and dirt. To get the best results, roughen the bond area before cleaning.
- Remove the required portion. Replace disc on remaining portion. Avoid contaminating your hands by wearing gloves. Mix with your fingers until the colour is uniform. Warm the mixture to room temperature if mixing is difficult. If necessary, apply with pressure on the surface to be repaired within 2 minutes after mixing. Use the plastic wrapper if the material sticks to your fingers.
- To achieve a smooth finish, remove any excess with a wet cloth or water before the hardening process begins.
- Trim off any excess material before the initial hardening. Acetone can be used to remove any residues prior to the initial hardening. Once fully cured, the excess can be sanded off or trimmed.
- After 5-10 mins, Knead It Steel begins to harden and form a strong bond. After 60 minutes, Knead It Steel can be drilled or sanded. It can also be machined, filed, painted, or sawed.
- After using, wash hands thoroughly with soap & water.
Limitations:
- Plastic fuel tanks are not recommended.
- Does not adhere to polyethylene, polypropylene or Polytetrafluoroethylene (Teflon) or silicone rubber.
- Tested for drinking water compliance to AS/NZ4020:2005.
Handy Tips
- Mix the putty with the hardener. As Knead it is being mixed, you will feel the heat.
- Keep a small amount of Knead It to test when the glue is set. When it becomes hard, your job is complete.
- Keep your products in a cool, dry place to extend their shelf life.
- Use Knead it Multi-Purpose when in contact with drinking waters.
- Knead It aqua is suitable for wet/submerged surfaces.
- Temperatures below 20deC: Set time increases
Clean up
- Remove excess by rubbing your hands with water or using a dampened cloth
before hardening begins.
